Friends & Family of South Loop School
In 2003, a fundraising initiative for the school was established: Friends & Family of South Loop School, Inc. Individuals and businesses may make monthly or one-time donations to this 501(c) 3 corporation, all of which are fully tax deductable as allowed by law. Each year, donations collected by Friends & Family are used to upgrade or augment the school's resources beyond what is provided in the basic CPS budget.
Current fundraising initiatives will cover:
- iPad Lab for kindergarten throguh second grades
- Projectors and Document Elmos for kindergarten - 8th grade
- Mobile laptops and classroom computers for kindergarten - 8th grade
- Middle school classroom desk for 6th & 7th grades
- Padding for gymnasium walls
- 20 Kindles for kindergarten - 3rd grade
Friends & Family of South Loop School, Inc., is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit corporation and as such all contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Friends & Family is a volunteer organization and has no paid employees, so that 100% of contributions benefit South Loop Elementary School.
